Temporary myocardial electrodes (TME, cardiac wires) are used for stimulation therapy of postoperative cardiac arrhythmias.

 

Application:

After cardiac surgery, OSYPKA TME are attached to the atrium(s) and/or the ventricle(s) and guided outwards through the abdominal wall via a thoracic needle. Fixation in the myocardium is carried out either via anchors that are inserted transmyocardially with a needle or those that are secured with sutures. The heart is stimulated with OSYPKA TME usually via the right atrium and right ventricle or via both ventricles (CRT/biventricular stimulation), as well as the right atrium. External pacemakers are particularly suitable for optimal stimulation: OSYPKA PACE101H® (single-chamber), OSYPKA PACE203H® (dual-chamber), and OSYPKA PACE300® (three-chamber biventricular pacing/temporary CRT pacemaker).
